EM, the leading strategic communications and investor relations advisory firm for clients in Russia, China and other emerging markets across Eurasia, is pleased to announce five new hires in its Moscow office.
Alexandra Astapenko worked for many years at Vedomosti and Kommersant, two of Russia’s leading business and finance newspapers, where she covered the financial services sector and capital markets. Alexandra has also covered corporate conflicts, bankruptcy and litigation – ideal preparation for joining EM’s market-leading special situations team.
Olga Razumovskaya worked for the Wall Street Journal, covering tech, media and telecoms, based in Moscow and later in San Francisco, before making the transition to communications advisory in the tech startup space. A passionate storyteller and expert content creator, Olga brings deep sector experience and global perspective to advise EM’s growing portfolio of tech clients.
Olga Kuzmina joins from the Russian and Eurasian studies programme at Harvard University. Before grad school at Harvard, Olga worked for a number of think tanks in Washington, DC, where she ran research programmes and oversaw international policy report publications.
These follow two additional hires to EM’s Moscow office earlier in the year:
Alexander Beburov comes from a background in digital marketing, including social media marketing and analytics, video and other online communications.
Eloise Melville started out in communications at Stella McCartney and has experience of social media marketing in the commercial and voluntary sectors in the UK and Russia.
“2019 has been a big year for us. In our core areas of focus – financial communications, crisis and reputation management and other special situations – our offering is now unrivalled. And we have also been leading the way in areas such as ESG as well as digital communications. All of this, together with the excellent new additions to our Moscow team, sets us up perfectly for continued growth and success in 2020 and beyond. За победу!”
